How I Learn Something New

How do you study? How do you learn new things? Learning and studying efficient is quite significant today. The topics increased at University, or your boss wants you to learn some subject faster. So, how to take some actions on your learning journey? In this blog, I will talk about how I learn or study.

First of all, I want to understand the problem. What I have to learn or study? because if you understand the problem well, you can search topics everywhere. I always start to note down some keywords. For example, if my learning topic is programming languages, I will google the topic and I take notes keywords and language names such as java, OOP, python. These keywords are easy to find explanations specifically. Also, taking notes are improving your knowledge. Writing your understood ideas on paper makes it permanent in mind. Thus, you can learn step by step.

Secondly, Telling somebody about something you have just learned new. In this case, you should consider the difficulty of your thoughts. This is because you have to decrease complexity. Thus, when you reduce complexity, you make it easier for the listener to understand. Albert Einstein says that ‘If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.’.

Studying regularly allows you not to forget. If you are a good studier, you have to work regularly. This brings many things not only quick learning but also using the topic in a different case. My favorite idea is that taking notes on the topic in one paragraph and read each day. For example, let’s say that the topic is integral, I take some notes about integral when I studying and I read before each studying session. Thus, knowledge is learned directly.
